Greater Lowell Bulldogs overwhelmed in Nationals

The Beaver Division Bulldogs lost all three games at  the National Dekhockey Championships in Leominster Ma this past Memorial Day weekend, and failed to advance into the playoff rounds in the A Division. The tournament featured teams from all over the country, including New Jersey, Pennsylvannia, Quebec Canada, and many more. The Bulldogs never really got off the ground.

To the teams credit they were in just about every game down by a goal or two leading into the 3rd period of each game. But the Speed of the game in the Nationals A Division was just more than the  Bulldogs could handle. 9 year old Caroline Harvey deserves kudos for filling in as goalie for the first two games keeping the team in contention deep into the 3rd periods of each game she played in. Caroline bailed the team out big time warding off a disaster if the Bulldogs did not have her. Mathew Metras played goalie the 3rd game and did a respectable job, every goal scored on him was on rebounds and 2nd, or 3rd chances as he made all the initial saves he was expected to make.
