Finals Game 3 of 3
Chelmsford 12/11/2011 - For the 2nd game in a row Mark Gagnon banged home the winner in overtime to give the BEARS a 3-2 win, clinching the 2011 FALL A/B Championship Title at the Greater Lowell Dek Hockey Center in Chelmsford against Bubba’s Boys.

Bears Captain/Manager Hank Gagnon admitted to us the under manned Bears were out-played much of this game but MVG Dan Duggan held the fort up until the Bears could mount an offense. Despite being out played the Bears were winning 2-1 again with less than 2 minutes to play in regulation only to see Bubba’s Boys tie it up and send the game into overtime for an unprecedented 4th time this season. All three Finals games between these two teams went into overtime!  All three games in the Finals the Bears were winning by a goal with less than 1:30 to play in regulation and Bubba's Boys relentless attack managed to send all three games in the finals into overtime. Hank Gagnon and Bill Stanawicz scored the other two goals for the Bears.

George Redding scored a goal for Bubba’s Boys. The other Bubba’s goal was un-recorded in the stats at the time of publication. Bubba’s Boys Goalie had another strong game also as he was tested by Bears on several occasions.

PLAYOFF MVP: Mark Gagnon (BEARS)

PLAYOFF MVG: Dan Duggan (BEARS)

Finals: Game 2

Bears even series with Bubba's Boys in Overtime!
Chelmsford 12/5/2011 - Finals Game 2 - Bears climb back into Finals Series as Mark Gagnon tipped home a shot from Shannon McCabe to give the Bears the 5-4 win in overtime evening the thrilling Finals Series 1-1. Rookie Phil Loranger chipped in with 2 goals, and Keith Gagnon had 2 lamplighters for the Bears.

The Bears and Bulldogs just can't seem to play a game that does not end in overtime this season. All three meetings this season ended in overtime. Game three of the Finals is slated for to be played Sunday  12/11/2011 @ 12:00 Noon. This game will decide who wins the League Championship! Based past history with these two teams it will be a close highly contested game and could go into overtime for an unprecedented 4th time this season.

Finals Game 1
Bubba's Boys Stun Bears in Double Overtime!
Chelmsford 11/29/2011 - It took almost 5 periods to do it but the Bubba's Boys Kevin Johnson broke in on a breakaway with less than 1:30 to play in the second overtime period and tucked one by Bears goalie Dan Duggan on a crafty play to end the Marathon game. Bubba's Boys Goalie Scott Neault stood on his head for most of the game and held off a Bears steady dose of Mylec Hockey balls zinging in on him. Duggan was also tested a lot during the game by the relentless Bubba's and came up big many times to keep the Bears in the game.

This game was the FIRST OF A THREE GAME FINALS SERIES. The Bears and Bubba's Boys played once during the regular season and that game also ended in Overtime 4-3 with the Bears winding up on the short end then too. Both games the Bears were winning by a goal with less  than 2 minutes to play but could not shut the door on Bubba's.

The games can be watched from the Deck of the New CENTER ICE PUB where you can enjoy a drink, watch the BEARS-BUBBA'S BOYS game. Or you can go inside and watch a game one of the wide screen Televisions.
